I've always been interesting in writing. It helps me express things so much better. Never really thought about writing blogs until I recently read one from my co-worker. It seemed pretty cool so here I am. I figured I could start the new year off in blog world.
I enjoy my job. I'm a video editor for a news station.
Some people don't enjoy there job, but I can honestly say I do. I never thought I'd actually be working here. You know it's funny because once I graduated college, I thought I'd never get away from working at McDonalds. Not downing people who do work there at all. I worked there throughout my college years and high school. Got me through some things. Anyway, after college, I was there for another 2 years before I finally got my break into the news world. I did intern there while in school so that helped out a lot. I started part-time doing the teleprompter. Graduated to audio, camera, chyron, ENG, and finally editing.

As an editor, you learn so much when it comes to handling video. For those who are actually interested in this kind of work, the program used is called "Edius". I've had a few project's done outside the workplace like making a little DVD movie for my pastor or making a collage of pictures. With each project, my editing abilities tend to get stronger and stronger and sometimes it make me feel as though I could have my own production company someday. Wishful thinking but hey who knows what could happen...................
